So, how did RSFC start? Well, way back when
Rick was doing his "club tour" (1993 was the year), a few fans were posting
about the shows in one of the forums on CompuServe. During the discussion,
it was brought up how there wasn't any online clubs. The suggestion
was made - "Then someone should start one." And RSFC was "conceived".
RSFC was "born" on January 1st, 1994 when the first club newsletter came out and has been going strong and growing ever since. The club is open to anyone who is interested in Rick and has an valid email address. Four newsletters are put out each year, in January, April, July and October. Members are encouraged to participate as much as they like by sending in pictures and submissions. Submissions can be an interpretation of a song, an article that was found on Rick or a review of the article, catching Rick on TV... just about anything! There's a "Ask Rick" column, a "Heads Up" for upcoming concerts, occassional raffles/giveaways and more!
The goal of the club is to get accurate and up-to-date
information on Rick out to as many of his fans as possible.
The cost - FREE! The only request is to keep the email list accurate
by informing the list keeper/owner of any changes in your email address.
Recently added is the option of getting a snailmail/paper copy of the newsletter. Cost for this option is $8.00 (U.S.) per year. If interesting in this, please email your information to me at debbie@rsfc-online.org. Payment options available are check and Paypal.
